Courageous Calling: Timothy
Jesus Christ is building His church in Africa. And the Lord of the Harvest is calling more and more African laborers into His harvest fields. AIM is excited to play a part in inviting, equipping, sending, training, serving, and encouraging African workers to take the gospel to the remaining unreached peoples of Africa and beyond. Explore this ongoing series about Africans on the front lines of this work, and AIM’s part in it.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
my name is Timothy. I come from the south west of Uganda in a town called Barara.
Certain things happened in my life that made me question my faith. Imagine people in a sudden land are dying of Ebola. They have no idea there is a vaccine, but you have the vaccine.
I couldn't live with myself having that kind of truth and doing nothing about it; and that was a very good thing because then I startedgoing back to scriptures for the first time since my being a believer to actually ask one question:
Who is this god?
I believe that's where my journey to missions began.
i'm currently serving in karamoja in a district called Cabong, walking with them, discipling them, encouraging them to the call that god gave them to do.
I also help them to just plant in village towns that have no church presence, helping them so they're the ones who actually do the church planting so it is it's exciting. They're lovely people. I love them.
The african church has a mandate to go to the nation as much as the American church has a mandate as much as the European church has a mandate as much as the Asian church has a mandate.
What i want to really tell them is that God loves you and God is not malicious he's a good God and therefore that whatever happens in your life he has allowed it for his glory. Both good and bad.
And so if God is going to watch over us then we can't fear.
God is everywhere. He was sustaining the city as much as he was sustaining you in the frontiers. And for me, I want to be a part of it.
I want to be a part of what God is doing around the world because i want to also share in his blessings above anything else.
Well I'm a missionary because God is seeking worship from all peoples, and he's asking us to call these people home.
Sharing stories of God’s redemptive work all over Africa in the hopes of seeing Christ-centered, reproducing, culturally-appropriate churches formed among African Peoples.
